The 2023 Chevrolet Blazer Takes on the Ford Edge
Once you’re decided on buying a new midsize SUV, your real work begins. If you’re not sure which vehicle to go with, this comparison can help. It takes a look at the Chevy Blazer and Ford Edge to see how they match-up in three key areas.
If you want a big and roomy SUV with plenty of space for up to five people, the Chevy Blazer is an excellent choice. Both rows have ample legroom, so even taller passengers won’t be cramped.
Standard features include cloth upholstery and a power-adjustable driver’s seat, but there are several other things you can add to your new Chevy, such as a power-adjustable front passenger seat, heated and ventilated front seats, and leather upholstery.
The Ford Edge also fits five people, but it doesn’t come standard with any power-adjustable seats. Plus, critics have pointed out that the seats in the back row aren’t very comfortable.
Chevy cars always come very well equipped with the latest tech components, and the Chevy Blazer certainly doesn’t disappoint in this area. Every model comes with a user-friendly infotainment system with a 10-inch touchscreen, along with:
- Android Auto™
- Apple CarPlay®
- Six-speaker stereo
- Satellite radio
- Wireless charging pad
- Wi-Fi hot spot
- Amazon Alexa®
- Four USB ports
- Keyless entry
The Ford Edge has some of the same features as the Chevy SUV, but a wireless charging pad isn’t available.
Your Chevy Blazer is designed to keep you and your passengers safe, as it comes with many advanced features, including:
- Forward collision warning
- Forward automatic emergency braking
- Rearview camera
- Pedestrian detection
- Lane departure warning
- Lane keep assist
- Automatic high-beam headlights
- Teen Driver
- Rear seat alert
There’s some crossover with the safety features found in the Ford Edge, but rear seat alert isn’t offered.
