The 2023 Chevy Camaro is a Blast to Drive
For most of us, cars are a necessity. Without one, we wouldn’t be able to work or do dozens of other things. But, this doesn’t mean that they just have to be exclusively practical devices for getting around. The 2023 Chevy Camaro – which has an MSRP of $26,100 – proves that they can also be extremely fun.
Power and Performance
The base engine in the Chevy Camaro is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that offers 275 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. If those numbers don’t do it for you, you can go with one of three increasingly powerful engines:
- 6-liter V6: 335 horsepower and 284 lb-ft of torque
- 2-liter V8: 455 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque
- Supercharged 6.2-liter V8: 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque
A six-speed manual transmission is standard, though you can opt for an eight- or 10-speed automatic. Rear-wheel drive is standard in this new Chevy, and you’ll love how it handles. It has great agility and sharp steering, and the brakes supply excellent stopping power. Every model comes with a limited-slip rear differential, and upgrades include sport or performance suspensions and Brembo brakes.
The Chevy Camaro has a sizable cabin that fits up to four people. Standard features include a power-adjustable driver’s seat and cloth upholstery. Heated and ventilated front seats, Recaro performance front seats, and leather upholstery are available. The Chevy coupe offers 9.1 cubic feet of trunk space, while the convertible will give you 7.3 cubic feet. Convertibles also have power-folding soft tops.
The Chevy Camaro comes loaded with an assortment of tech components, such as:
- A seven-inch touchscreen
- A Wi-Fi hot spot
- Voice recognition
- A six-speaker stereo
- Wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®
Extras include wireless device charging, satellite radio, and navigation.
In addition to a rearview camera, the Chevy Camaro comes standard with the Teen Driver system. This allows parents to put limits on speed and stereo volume. Several other safety features can be added, including:
- Blind spot monitoring
- Rear cross-traffic alert
- Forward collision warning
- Rear parking sensors
- A rearview camera mirror
