The Big and Bold 2021 Chevy Traverse
Sometimes a sedan just won’t cut it. And if you have a big family, this is certainly something you know firsthand. When you need to transport a lot of folks, and their stuff, only a big vehicle will work.
This is one of the highlights of the 2021 Chevy Traverse, but it’s definitely not the only one.
Power and Performance
The Chevy Traverse comes with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that puts out 310 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque. This is mated to a smooth-shifting nine-speed automatic transmission.
Front-wheel drive is standard, but you can get all-wheel drive. As mentioned, the 2021 Chevy Traverse is a big SUV, so you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how well it handles. One top of that, this new Chevy has a fantastic suspension system, so you’ll always have a very comfortable ride, even on some of the rockier roads in Pinckney.
The three-row Chevy Traverse will fit up to eight people in its standard setup. With available second-row captain’s chairs, the capacity drops to seven. Cloth upholstery is standard, and available features include:
• Heated front seats
• Ventilated front seats
• Power-adjustable front seats
• Heated second-row seats
The cargo space in this Chevy SUV is outstanding, as it offers 23 cubic feet behind the third row, 57.8 cubic feet when it’s down, and a total of 98.2 cubic feet with both back rows folded. You can also get a power-folding third-row bench, a power liftgate, or a hands-free power liftgate.
The 2021 Chevy Traverse comes with a lot of standard tech features, such as:
• Apple CarPlay®
• Android Auto™
• Six USB ports
• A seven-inch touchscreen
• A Wi-Fi hot spot
A rear-seat entertainment system with a DVD player is also available, as is navigation and satellite radio.
Standard safety features in the Chevy Traverse include traction control and a rearview camera. You will also get the Teen Driver system, which lets you set limits for how fast a secondary driver can go. Optional safety components include:
• Blind spot monitoring
• Front pedestrian braking
• Rear parking sensors
• A surround-view parking camera system
• Rear cross-traffic alert
• Forward collision warning
• Lane departure warning
