Although we can safely say we’re fans of every vehicle in the Chevy lineup, one of the models that we’re most excited about has to be the Blazer EV. Whether you’re interested in a Chevy Blazer EV for sale or you just like to stay on top of what’s going on in the auto industry, this is a vehicle that you need to know more about. Building on the impressive design and features that have made the standard, gas-powered Blazer so popular, the new Chevy Blazer EV is an all-electric beauty that combines impressive performance with gorgeous style, great range, and remarkable features inside. This is a vehicle we love getting to talk about, so let’s take a closer look at what the 2024 Blazer EV brings to the road, and you’ll quickly see why so many people consider this one of the most exciting vehicles on the market.
Impressive Electrified Performance and Range
One of the undeniable standout features of the 2024 Blazer EV is its impressive electric powertrain and the kind of driving experience you get from that. As you may know, EV models like this feature a battery system and electric motor (or motors) that power the vehicle rather than a traditional gas-powered engine. But just like with the engines in conventional vehicles, there’s a wide range of differences between the battery and motor systems you’ll find in different EV models. GM has been hard at work developing its Ultium battery platform for EV models across its different brands, and the results help place the Blazer EV in a class of its own.
The first thing we should mention, however, is that there are different configurations and setups available for the Blazer EV, so even when you’re looking at a variety of models, you can find differing performances. You’ll find both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) versions available, and they each offer different types of performance. If you look at an AWD Chevy Blazer EV, then it features an 85 kWh battery along with a pair of motors (one up front, the other on the rear wheels) that deliver a combined 288 hp and 333 lb-ft of torque. RWD models, on the other hand, have a 102 kWh battery and a single motor on the back wheels that delivers 340 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque.
Those numbers might not make sense at first until you discover that the RWD model has a more powerful motor to deliver that extra horsepower. Right now, the starting LT is offered with AWD that gets an estimated 279 miles from a full charge, while the RS model is available with similar AWD or the RWD configuration that has enhanced performance and an estimated 324 miles from a full charge. We won’t deny that we’re big fans of this RWD RS model, though we know the starting LT is more accessible for many drivers. Either way, you have a fantastic midsize SUV that’s incredibly fun to drive.
One last thing we should mention in terms of performance, however, is the SS model that’s still set to hit the market. This is a performance-focused version of the Blazer EV with enhanced AWD engineering, but it has yet to be released. The estimated specs on the trim are impressive, and we’ll be super excited to see it hit the market when it does.
Gorgeous Styling and Design
From the moment you first take a look at the Chevy Blazer EV, it’s easy to see that you have something special in front of you. This is a beautifully designed SUV that combines sleek lines, bold curves, and aggressive styling in the perfect way to create something we’d be proud to have sitting in our driveways. Looking at the LT model, you will find 19-inch wheels, LED headlamps, and deep-tinted rear glass for added privacy and protection from the sun. The body-color grille panel looks great, along with low gloss Black door moldings and body-color mirror caps that all blend together smoothly to create a gorgeous impression.

The RS model takes these features to the next level with a number of added touches that elevate its style and sophisticated appearance further. For starters, 21-inch wheels give it an incredibly bold and powerful stance, with a Gloss Black exterior trim including roof rails, grille panel, door moldings, and front and rear lower fascias to create a cohesive look. Heated, power-adjustable, driver-side auto-dimming outside mirrors are incredibly functional and include integrated turn signals. One of our favorite touches, however, has to be the choreographed exterior LED lighting with animated front and rear lights, plus lighting sequences for when you approach and walk away from your vehicle, reminding you that you’ve chosen a fantastic SUV.
Remarkable Features Inside Too
As you’d expect, the incredible tech and sophisticated features Chevy has packed into the Blazer EV extend to the interior, too. Standard features inside the LT model include a gorgeous 17.7-inch advanced color LCD Infotainment screen with Google built-in. This is joined by an 11-inch Driver Information Center with customized settings, including five visual themes you can choose from, along with a six-speaker sound system. Evotex seating is standard, which is both incredibly comfortable and durable, with remote start and keyless open functionality, plus automatic climate control and much more.
Once again, the RS model gives you more to take advantage of, including a standard wireless charging pad inside to help you keep compatible devices charged more easily. You’ll find heated and ventilated front seats in the RS, with an eight-way power driver’s seat and six-way power front-passenger seat, utilizing perforated suede and Evotex upholstery. A heated, flat-bottom steering wheel reminds you of how much power you have under your control, while dual-zone automatic climate control keeps you and your passengers more comfortable. Plus, if you’re looking to take things further, available options include a head-up display, a Rear Camera Mirror, and much more.
Taking Safety Technology to the Next Level
From everything we’ve seen so far, it’s clear that there’s a lot to love about the Blazer EV, but none of that really matters if it can’t help protect you and your family on the road. Fortunately, Chevy agrees with us, so every model comes with the Chevy Safety Assist suite of features, including a Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Front Pedestrian Braking. You also get Lane Keep Assist with a Lane Departure Warning, a Following Distance Indicator, and IntelliBeam auto high beams as part of this package.
Beyond that, the Chevy Blazer EV LT also includes Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Blind Zone Steering Assist, Rear Park Assist, and a Safety Alert Seat that uses vibration pulses to identify the direction of potential dangers or risks on the road. Even more incredible safety tech is available as part of a package that includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking, and an HD Surround Vision system that gives you a virtual view around your vehicle during low-speed driving. Perhaps best of all, GM’s incredible Super Cruise hands-free driving technology is available to take you beyond anything you’ve experienced before.
